Balance Benders - Reasoning
These students were really excited to be able to justify their reasoning for how they were able to balance the equation through our Balance Benders activity. Their teamwork was amazing and their explanations were clear and well put. They wanted to know if they were correct, so I simply asked them to show me how they knew their answers where correct. I applaud their efforts.

Pi Day Digital Breakout
Students use math, critical thinking, & collaboration skills to complete a digital breakout & "Save Pi Day" in time for us to celebrate! So much fun - and so much math talk! Some students who did not complete the challenge during the allotted time, even went back to complete each puzzle on their own after class ended.

ST Math - Ratios
In this task I guided a student through a Ratio Monsters task in ST Math so to help talk her through her own thinking. The way in which she communicates her understanding is build in the culture of the classroom throughout the year.

The postcard was a note of thanks from the Mind Research Institute, the creators of ST Math. They had asked my permission to use this video as an example of how to work with students through the program for one of the professional developments.

Effective Strategies for Autistic & ADHD Students
This is a video I put together for a group research project in my Master's Program. The research done was to find the most effective strategies to best include students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder in a mainstream classroom. My group & I conducted the research and I put together this quick video that briefly introduces ASD and ADHD as well as mentions a few effective strategies that can be implemented in the classroom.

People & Culture: Bali, Indonesia
-Music
-Art

This is a lesson plan I, along with a group of Liberal Studies majors, put together for Music Literature. This lesson plan gives detailed instruction, information, and lists other resources for presenting the Balinese culture to students. This lesson should be done over the course of several days. In addition to the lesson, I also created a "passport" that can be used to assess the students' learning and that each student can save as a keepsake of their "trip to Bali."
